- MCI Mail Access:
- ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀
- o On a single user system - select the Setup option, choose the Mail
- communications option. Choose the type of modem link you have, and fill
- in the details as directed. If you specify your MCI Mail User ID, but
- NOT the password, you will be prompted for the password each time you
- access MCI Mail. Press <f10> to save details once everything is correct.
-
- o For a LAN system where the See Mail program is NOT on your local disk
- drive you must copy the MCIMAIL.COM and MMTERM.COM files to your mail
- directory on your local drive. I.e. copy g:mcimail.com c:\mail
- Once complete proceed with the Setup of Mail communications as for a
- single user system.
-
- o Go to the mailBox top menu selection and choose the "Online access to
- MCI Mail". This enables you to view the dial up and logon. If all goes
- well you can now use the "Post/open MCI Mail" option to automatically
- receive and deliver mail. If this does not work refer to the
- SEE-MAIL.DOC file for trouble shooting, and re-try the Setup.

-
- o See Mail uses FOLDERS to manage your mail. These include OUTGOING,
- INCOMING, SENT, UNSENT and DRAFTS.
-
- o To send mail you should first create a mail item and then save it in
- your OUTGOING folder. Then you can select the open/post MCI Mail option
- from the mailBox menu to actual send the mail out.
-
- o Any mail that is waiting for you will be placed in your INCOMING folder.
- If there is a problem with your outgoing mail (such as bad address) it
- will be returned to you in the UNSENT folder.
-
- o You may place mail in your DRAFTS folder to review it, or finish it at
- a later time. Once it is complete you just move the file to the OUTGOING
- folder using the file utilities. Then use the mailBox open/post MCI Mail
- option as before.
